I finally had the chance to visit my motherland, Scotland, where my grandfather was born and raised. A country I’ve wanted to visit for years and that didn’t disappoint. There’s no doubt that Scotland’s natural beauty is a draw to many, but Edinburgh’s medieval architecture, rich (and dark) history, cultural legacy and prime placement make it a wonderful city to spend a few days.
