good vibes

It’s the most wonderfullll timmmeeee of the yeaaarrrrr, and I’m talking about DETOX time!  I have a few posts on the blog here about preparing for a detox, but there a couple of things I want to add this time around. 1) Set an intention. If you want to give a little effort to feel better, do a cleanse for 7 days. If you want to change your life, do it for 21 days. rustic tomato sauce

This is one of my all-time favourite dishes that Matt makes. You can eat this roasted vegetable “sauce” with pasta, but in our home we prefer to have it with spaghetti squash, making it an entirely veggie  meal. Sauce – 1 medium eggplant – chopped in small cubes – 1 large or two small zucchinis – diced – 2 pints (or more) or grape tomatoes – halved. Alternatively you can use the Italian tomatoes and dice them, but no canned tomatoes! – 3 cloves of minced garlic – Approx. 1 cup / a full jar of kalamata olives – pitted…

You may start hearing the voice of negativity from friends, family, colleagues and acquaintances about why you are detoxing or why you’ve adopted a vegan diet or even why you’re not drinking at a party. Kris Carr says: “Don’t let the judgment of others who are less supportive of or puzzled (and maybe threatened) by your new lifestyle bring you down. Understand that they just don’t understand. Reassure them that you’re happy and getting healthier. Do it nicely, with love. ” We’ve been taught by respected authorities like teachers, parents and even doctors that eating meat, dairy, wheat and even…

What is it The detox consists of 21 days of exercise, self-care maintenance, healthy eating, mediation and rest. The regime will revitalize your body, mind and spirit with increased energy, muscle toning, normalized weight loss, radiant skin, improved digestion and confidence. Why it works “By increasing the amount of raw and living foods and organic green juices and green smoothies in your diet while eliminating processed sugars, refined starches, animal products high in saturated fat, stimulants, and too much cooked food, you shift from an acidic interior enivornment to one that’s alkaline and oxygen drenched. This allowes your magnificent body…
